Hey. Listen up, asshat, because I’m only saying this once.*

I have a chronic illness. In fact, I have more than one. And maybe, to you, I look peachy keen and up for anything. But looks can be deceiving. Maybe I’m on my third painkiller of the day. Maybe I haven’t had an adequate night of sleep in a week, but I’m pretty skilled with makeup so you can’t really tell just by looking at me. You know what? There is a lot you cannot tell just by looking at me.

What I’m saying is this:

Do not fucking call me lazy because I elect not to do something because I am in pain or because doing that thing will cause me to be in pain. And then, when I attempt to give you the benefit of the doubt and explain to you that, hey, I’m in pain or that will cause me pain, DO NOT FUCKING TELL ME I JUST NEED TO LOSE WEIGHT AND I WILL FEEL BETTER.

You are not my doctor. You are not my family. You are not even my friend. You do not get to make assumptions about my health based on my appearance. In fact, you don’t get to make assumptions about me, full stop. And you sure as shit don’t get to share those assumptions with me without my, at minimum, giving you the glaring of the lifetime.

You are lucky I’m a pacifist and that I *am* in pain because I would smash you otherwise.
